Mardi Gras, Muncie Style
Muncie Gras 2007 In The Streets of Downtown Muncie! February 17, 2007 7:00p.m -2:00a.m. Avoid the lines! Be there by 6pm. for your favorite performers @ 7pm.

Join us for the largest gated Mardi Gras celebration this side of the Mississippi! 11,000 people attended this gated event in 2006. Downtown restaurants and bars including, Heorot, Center Stage, Stirlings, Docs, The Fickle Peach and White River Landing, will all be participating in the festivities. To add to the excitement, we will get a helping hand from many other area bars including the Dill Street, Buddy's Place, 909 Grille, Red Dog Saloon, Tammies, End Zone, Mr. Mouse and Scoobie's! Get your tickets in advance from any of these locations.
Muncie Gras' Main Stage will bring some big name performances from the likes of Muncie's brightest homegirl,"Jennie Devoe", r&b classics from our favorite soul men "The Souled Out Band", sizzling Cajun sounds from "Mojo and the Bayou Gypsies" as well as Indy based band "Permacrush".
The North end of Walnut Street will pulse with performances at the top of every hour from some of our favorite local talent, featuring: "Mud Eye Joe", "Mike Martin and Friends", "Spitshine", "Shoe Shine Joe and the Muddy Souls", "T Rex & the Funny Bones", "The New Buck Creek Ramblers", and "Dogs on Black Velvet". Wheee! Catch The "Walking Catfish" and more @ Doc's, "Powerhouse" and "Dark House Sweet" at Center Stage, "Gregg Tanner Review" and special 2nd floor performances @
The Heorot, Indy based percussion group will keep the beat in the street, DJ's, drag shows, street performers, private parties and other assorted entertainment will abound. In case you are counting, that is seventeen live performances to catch all in one evening!
Want more excitement than that? Take a spin on our Carnival Carousel toss some beads, catch some beads! There will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to create their own Mardi Gras experience.
The Downtown Trolley will run from 7:00p.m-3:00a.m from Downtown to the BSU Village and back. Pick it up anywhere on University Ave. between Wheeling and McKinnley Ave. Shuttle service will also be available from Lyndenbrook area hotels. We encourage responsible fun for everyone!

Tickets are $15.00 at the gate the night of the event. This is a 21 and over event. All visitors will be asked for an ID at the gate!
